Community Bank Supports FH Families

On August 7, staff from Hoffman Estates Community Bank, an arm of Barrington Bank & Trust, hosted a picnic for families in need. The bank staff volunteered on a hot, Sunday afternoon to provide school supplies, food, swimming, and show support to the families in Fellowship Housing, a non-profit housing organization for single mothers.
Each year, Georgeanna Mehr, Barrington resident and President of the Hoffman Estates bank, along with her staff come together to support the community in this way. All of the school-aged children in the program received much needed school supplies for the upcoming year. This is a huge blessing to the families in the program who are single mothers working to give their children a better future. In addition, the bank volunteers play games with the children and offer raffle prizes. This shows the bank’s support of women being empowered to change their circumstances.
