Thanks to our generous donors, our year-end campaign, A Hand Up, is going great. We’ve already raised $27,700 of our $65,000 goal! We are almost halfway there! But we need you to help us keep our momentum.
Thanks to a generous donor, every donation received by December 31 will be matched. So any gift you give is automatically doubled.
No gift is too small. In last year’s campaign, about one-third of the donations we received were donations of $100 or less—and we were still able to exceed our year-end fund goal. We’re confident this year can be the same! When we come together, we can accomplish more than any of us could alone. If just 20 people gave $50, that would support a family in the program for a whole month.
A great way to multiply your giving, whether large or small, is through employer matching programs, where corporations will match their employee’s charitable donations.
According to the website Grantspace.org, “Usually associated with corporate grantmakers, employee matching gifts often are dollar-for-dollar, but some companies will give double or even triple the original donation.”
Be sure to check with your employer’s human resources department to see if they participate in matching employee charitable donations. Even smaller companies sometimes participate, but these matching funds often go unused because employees may not be aware of them.
If you work for a smaller company that doesn’t have a formal matching program, it still wouldn’t hurt to ask the company owner or your boss if they’d be willing to match a donation to Fellowship this year-end. Again, even small gifts really help.
Our year-end campaign helps provide safe housing, financial mentoring, and more. It’s a hand up, not a handout, which enables single moms to get back on their feet and create a stable life for themselves and their children. Learn more about the campaign and its impact here.
