Our Families

Rosie is a 32 year old single mom with a 9 year old son.  Before coming to Fellowship Housing, Rosie was temporarily living with relatives in an overcrowded home and was not allowed to use the kitchen.

Rosie states that her biggest fear is “that we can’t live where we want due to financial need and that I won’t be able to provide basic needs for my son.  My son and I have lived in many different places and he has gone to 5 different schools even though he is only in 4th grade.  For the first time we feel settled and happy”.  Her biggest dream is “to see myself in my own condo or home after FH.  If others can do it then so can I.  I also want to see my son go to college”.

Gloria is a 41 year old single mom with a girl age 18 and a boy age 14.  Before coming to Fellowship Housing, Gloria was facing eviction, not having enough money to pay her monthly rent and bills.

Gloria states that her greatest need is “to find a full-time job that I really enjoy”.  Her biggest dream is “for my children to finish college and get married.  I would also like to have a ministry to help people in need and if I get remarried I would like to work with my husband and children in that ministry”.

Gloria has been in the Fellowship Housing program for a year and is working hard paying off debt and preparing herself financially so that she can someday purchase a home.
