Phil Elworth

Phil is honored to be part of the board, where he can use his experience to support the mission of empowering individuals and families toward stability and success.
When he’s not deep in financial strategy or nonprofit work, Phil is perfecting the fine art of making dad jokes—whether anyone asks for them or not. He insists they’re an essential leadership skill, though the jury is still out on that one.

Cody Hall
BOARD MEMBER
Cody Hall is a seasoned professional in the financial and insurance industries, currently working as a Senior Claims Adjuster at Liberty Mutual Insurance. With prior experience at Republic Bank, Bridgeview Bank Group, First Midwest Bank, and Washington Mutual, she’s developed a sharp eye for problem-solving, risk assessment, and making sense of the numbers.
But beyond the spreadsheets and claims, Cody is also a proud mom to two teenage boys—which means she’s a highly skilled negotiator, an expert in mysteriously disappearing snacks, and fully fluent in teen slang (well, almost). When she’s not keeping up with her boys, she’s dedicated to her passion for fitness, proving that nothing—especially burpees—can stand in her way.
As a Fellowship Housing graduate herself, Cody knows firsthand the impact of the organization and the power of stability and support. With a background spanning finance, insurance, and even dance (yes, really!), she brings a unique blend of energy, expertise, and enthusiasm to the board. She’s honored to give back to the community that once helped her move forward, eager to contribute her skills and experience to empower others.

Greg Haecker
BOARD MEMBER
Greg knows a thing or two about people—after all, he’s spent his career making workplaces better as Chief People Officer at Alight Solutions. With a background in finance and a heart for service, Greg brings a wealth of experience to the board. His past work with Oasis for Orphans has deepened his passion for supporting families in need, making him a perfect fit for Fellowship Housing.
Outside of work, Greg is an avid golfer who’s always looking for the perfect swing. When he’s not on the green, he’s whipping up lavish charcuterie spreads that could rival the finest dining establishments. And if there’s a party happening, you can bet Greg is at the center of it—enthusiastically bringing people together, sometimes with just a little too much enthusiasm when it comes to gold star confetti poppers. (Apologies in advance to whoever has to clean up.)
Greg believes that good leadership is like a well-crafted charcuterie board—balanced, intentional, and always best shared with others.

Jenn Kupres
BOARD MEMBER
Jenn is a Global Vice President of Human Resources and a resident of Barrington. She and her family are dedicated members of Willow Creek Community Church, where Jenn actively volunteers with the compassion and justice ministry, supporting individuals in their career search journey. In her professional capacity, Jenn is the executive leader of her company's Vistex Endeavor program. This initiative, under Jenn's leadership, enables employees to contribute to and volunteer for causes around the world that are personally meaningful to them. Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Jenn is a passionate advocate for animal welfare. As a devoted dog mom to two Great Danes, Jenn and her family have sponsored numerous Great Danes through various rescue organizations across the United States. Their efforts have saved these dogs from violent situations and overcrowded shelters, where they faced the risk of euthanasia. Jenn also proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Fellowship Housing, an organization dedicated to changing the lives of moms and their children for the better. Jenn finds immense fulfillment in knowing the positive impact her work with Fellowship Housing has on these families, and it touches her heart deeply.

Josie Michalak
BOARD MEMBER
Josie Michalak is a passionate advocate for nonprofit storytelling and development, formerly serving as the Development Director at Bravingbird. With a heart for meaningful connections and a knack for bringing people together, Josie thrives in creating opportunities that empower organizations to share their mission in impactful ways.
Josie’s journey has been shaped by her dedication to community-building and her belief that every story has the power to inspire change. Whether she’s strategizing fundraising initiatives or fostering relationships with donors, she approaches her work with enthusiasm, creativity, and a touch of humor—because, let’s be honest, sometimes the best way to navigate nonprofit challenges is with a well-timed joke.
When she’s not championing causes, Josie enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new coffee shops, and perfecting the art of finding the best memes on the internet. She firmly believes that laughter is a universal language, and if fundraising ever had a mascot, it would probably be a stressed-out but determined squirrel.
