Tony Navitsky Partner Spotlight: Christian Brothers Automotive
At Fellowship Housing, partnership is about more than support. It is about shared values, faithful service, and a deep commitment to walking alongside at-risk mothers and their children. We are deeply grateful for the long-standing partnership between Fellowship Housing and Christian Brothers Automotive (CBA), which is why they have been selected as the Tony Navitsky Partner Spotlight for the first quarter of 2026.
Christian Brothers Automotive serves the community by using the talents God has given them to provide essential vehicle maintenance and repairs throughout the year. Their commitment is especially evident during their annual National Service Day, an initiative that began in 2005 as a simple effort to offer free oil changes to single mothers in need. Over time, this day of service has grown to include single fathers, widows, and anyone who could use a helping hand.
Through their relationship with Steve Truver at the Willow Creek Community Church C.A.R.S. Ministry, Christian Brothers Automotive was introduced to Fellowship Housing. That connection has become a tremendous blessing. Over the past two National Service Days, their team has had the opportunity to meet and serve many Fellowship Housing moms, forming meaningful relationships along the way.
Cody Scherer, Franchise Operator of CBA, shared, “The opportunity to serve Fellowship Housing moms is one of the most meaningful things we do all year. It’s an honor to serve these women, and the gratitude, strength, and smiles we see in return inspire our team. This partnership fills our hearts as much as it helps our community.”
One of those women is Gina.
When Gina received her new-to-her Toyota Avalon, she was overwhelmed with joy. She couldn’t stop talking about how many “fancy things” it had and how beautiful it was. When Gina first entered Fellowship Housing, her previous car was barely running and plagued by major transmission issues. A staff member from the Willow Creek Community Church C.A.R.S. Ministry had the vehicle towed to their garage, where it was ultimately deemed not repairable.
Thanks to an incredible partnership, Christian Brothers Automotive stepped in and provided Gina with a safe, reliable vehicle. This gift restored more than transportation. It restored peace of mind, stability, and a sense of security for Gina and her family as she continued her journey toward independence.
We are profoundly thankful for partners like Christian Brothers Automotive and the C.A.R.S. Ministry, who help remove barriers that stand in the way of stability and hope. Their faithful service reflects the heart of the Tony Navitsky Partner Spotlight and honors a legacy built on compassion, faith, and action.
Because of partners like these, moms like Gina are able to move forward with confidence, knowing they are not walking alone.

The Tony Navitsky Volunteer Recognitions began in 2011 as the Volunteer of the Year Award at the Fellowship Housing Annual Gala. Now a quarterly recognition, this distinction continues to honor those who serve families in need and "look after the orphans and widows in their distress" (James 1:27).
