Tony Navitsky Partner Spotlight: Darwill
At Fellowship Housing, we believe that lasting change happens when a community comes together. The mission to empower at-risk mothers and their children is made possible not only by dedicated donors, staff and volunteers, but by the generous partners who show up — sometimes in ways we never expected. This quarter, we are honored to shine the Tony Navitsky Partner Spotlight on Darwill, a company that has proven time and again that their commitment to people extends far beyond the printed page.
A Partnership Built on More Than Print
Since [YEAR], Darwill has been an invaluable partner to Fellowship Housing. From event programs and special project materials to our year-end mailers, Darwill brings expertise, care, and excellence to everything they produce for us. But what sets this partnership apart is not just the quality of their work — it is the quality of their people.
Darwill is a full-service direct mail and marketing solutions company operating across three state-of-the-art facilities with more than 300 employees. They are known for helping organizations grow through intentional, data-driven print and marketing strategies. What you may not know is that the same intentionality they bring to their clients' campaigns, they bring to their community as well.
Mark DeBoer: A Leader Who Invests in People
When you walk through Darwill's facilities with Mark DeBoer, Senior Vice President of Sales, you quickly understand why this company is special. Mark has been with Darwill for over 25 years — and his passion for the work has only grown. He personally guided a tour of two of Darwill's three facilities, sharing not just the impressive scope of their operations, but the heart behind them.
Mark's role and influence extend far beyond sales. He helps guide Darwill's strategic growth and innovation. But what energizes Mark most is the people side of the work — developing leaders, working with customers to help their business grow, and watching and listening to employees take ownership of Darwill's culture of giving back/volunteering. He is actively involved in several faith-based organizations, and Fellowship Housing holds a special place among them. Mark shared that he deeply appreciates Fellowship Housing's process and holistic approach to supporting single mothers and their children — not just meeting an immediate need but walking alongside families toward lasting change.
When he's not at Darwill, you'll likely find Mark on the golf course. Given his competitive spirit, we have a feeling he'll be a strong contender at the Fellowship Housing Golf Outing — consider yourself warned! 😊
Alejandra Huerta: An Account Manager Who Feels Like Family
If you've been to a Fellowship Housing event and flipped through a program or received the year-end letter, there's a good chance you've benefited from the amazing work of Alejandra Huerta, Account Manager at Darwill. Alejandra joined Darwill back in 2012 through an agency, and from the very beginning, she knew she had found something rare.
"I was so lucky to find this place," she reflects.
After two years with the agency, Alejandra officially joined Darwill's team in 2015. She started by sorting mail, then grew into an operator role — always with her eye on something more. That hunger to grow caught the attention of Mark DeBoer, who interviewed her and offered her the opportunity to step into account management. His words to her were simple and powerful: "This is the time, and you need to start."
Nine years later, Alejandra is still doing exactly that. She thrives on the variety that each project brings and is deeply motivated by one thing: putting the client first and making them happy. The leadership at Darwill is intentional about staying connected with their 300+ employees across three facilities, and Alejandra is a testament to what happens when a company truly invests in its people.
As Fellowship Housing's dedicated account manager, Alejandra brings the same care and attention to our projects that she brings to everything she does. Speaking personally — I (April Gregory, Fellowship Housing’s Event and Marketing Manager) am genuinely grateful to have her in our corner. When a Fellowship Housing project comes in, Alejandra lights up. And that energy shows in the finished product every single time.
Mike Stack: A Generous Heart That Sparked a Chain Reaction
Some of the most meaningful moments in this work arrive when you least expect them and Mike Stack's story is one we will be telling for years to come.
Mike is Darwill's Lead Estimator of seven years, and he was part of the company's foursome at the 2025 Fellowship Housing Golf Outing. After finishing his round, he approached me and asked, simply, how he could help.
As it turned out, Mike builds custom handcrafted whiskey barrel Adirondack chairs. He offered to donate one for the 2026 Fellowship Housing Gala silent auction, and we were thrilled. A truly one-of-a-kind piece for the biggest event of the year!
The morning of the Gala, Mike and a friend dropped off the chair. What happened next was such a fun surprise of generosity. His friend, seeing Fellowship Housing for the first time and learning what we are all about, was so moved that he donated $500 on the spot.
That handcrafted Adirondack chair, a labor of love built by someone who had only just learned about Fellowship Housing, became a symbol of what happens when inspired by others' creative generosity. The silent auction that evening raised nearly $30,000, and Mike's contribution was full of heart, as so many of our silent auction donations are.
The Darwill Difference
What Darwill has demonstrated through this partnership is something that cannot be manufactured or marketed: a genuine culture of giving. From Mark's decades of faithful service to Alejandra's day-in, day-out dedication to Mike's spontaneous and extraordinary act of generosity — Darwill is a company where people show up for each other and for their community.
At Fellowship Housing, we are deeply grateful for partners who don't just provide a service, but who show up. Darwill does that, and then some.
Thank You, Darwill
On behalf of the mothers and children of Fellowship Housing, thank you to Mark DeBoer, Alejandra Huerta, Mike Stack, and the entire Darwill family for your partnership, your generosity, and your heart. You carry forward the spirit of the Tony Navitsky Partner Spotlight in the truest sense — faithfully serving families in need and making our community stronger in the process.
