Empowerment Workshop for Fellowship Housing Moms

When Angela Fitch, LCPC, reached out to Fellowship Housing, she shared that she had been praying and sensed God asking her to use her professional gifts to serve others in a new way. Angela owns a thriving therapy and consultation practice in Palatine, IL—Angela Fitch LCPC PLLC—and wanted to create a meaningful, educational, and completely free one-day workshop for Fellowship Housing moms.

Out of that conversation, the Empowerment Workshop was born. Angela invited two of her trusted colleagues, Valerie von Schlegell (School Psychologist) and Lizette Cardenas (Financial Representative with Northwestern Mutual), to join her in offering an impactful lineup of sessions designed specifically for the single moms at Fellowship Housing.

Together, these three women brought both expertise and heart to every topic:

  • Building Safe Relationships

  • Cultivating Resiliency

  • Practical Financial Tools

  • Techniques for Resting Your Nervous System

  • Strengthening Connection with Your Children

  • Saving for Your Family’s Future

We are so grateful for Angela, Valerie, and Lizette. Women who not only excel in their fields but also have a passion for empowering others. This workshop was more than a set of classes; it was a day of hope, growth, and encouragement for our moms as they continue building stable futures for their families.

Thank you, Angela, for answering God’s call and using your professional gifts to pour into our moms’ lives.
