Fellowship Housing Graduation at The Chapel Palatine

There is something that happens in a room when a woman who has carried so much finally gets to exhale. On April 25, The Chapel Palatine became that room. Four remarkable moms shared their story and their Fellowship Housing journey, and everyone present felt the weight and the wonder of what that moment meant for each of the moms that shared.

This was not just an event. It was proof that determination, tenacity, unwavering support, and a lot of faith paved the way for a new beginning.

Each of these women spent months doing the quiet, hard work of rebuilding. They managed budgets, navigated challenges, showed up for their kids, and kept going on the days it would have been easier to stop. Their stories are different, but their courage is the same.

“I came to Fellowship Housing through a coworker. I didn’t think I would make it because it sounded too good to be true. It was exactly what I needed. There, I found moral financial, and spiritual support.”

“My Family Advocate, Sue was incredible. She believed in me, celebrated every win, big or small and over time, I started to believe in myself the way she believed in me. Aside from it all the great financial support and knowledge I gained, I learned something just as important: how to set boundaries, how to stop people pleasing, and how to focus on my own growth without the noise of outside opinions. I learned that taking care of myself wasn’t selfish, it was necessary.”

“When I came to Fellowship Housing, I thought I was just coming for financial help. I wanted stability. I wanted a better life for my kids. But what I didn’t realize is that God was calling me into transformation, not just in my finances, but in my heart.”

“My goals moving forward are to continue budgeting and ask myself, “Do I really need that, or is it a want?” I am educating myself on purchasing a multifamily property because I am interested in ownership and learning how to generate more cash flow while building a legacy for my children. Last but not least, I want to continue building my savings.”

A celebration like this doesn't happen without a community behind it, and this one delivered. Alyssa Murdock captured every meaningful moment through her photography. Courtney Burton made sure guests with dietary needs were cared for with gluten free options. Connie Krueger baked her beloved chocolate banana bread and blueberry banana bread. Food for Friends generously donated the meal from Lee and Eddie's and served the food during the event!

Our host and lead pastor, Blake Dole and the incredible volunteers of The Chapel Palatine provided not only the space but also childcare during the event, going above and beyond to make every family feel welcomed and celebrated. They are the kind of hosts who make the whole morning feel like a gift.

Graduation day is beautiful, but it is really just the beginning. These four women are stepping into new chapters with stronger foundations, clearer visions, and the knowledge that a whole community stood in their corner.

Because of this amazing community, Fellowship Housing moms are not just finding stability. They are building strong, lasting legacies for their children and their children's children. Every donation, every partnership, every act of generosity is woven into the fabric of these families' futures.

Thank you to every donor, partner, and friend who makes these journeys possible. You may never fully know the depth of your impact, but the four women who shared their stories on April 25 do.
