Celebrating Fellowship Housing Graduates in June 2025

On June 14th graduation was held at The Chapel in Palatine, honoring five remarkable moms who have worked tirelessly to create better futures for their families. The morning was filled with joy, tears, and heartfelt moments, celebrating these moms’ personal journeys.

It was brought to life with a delicious meal prepared by Lee and Eddie’s catering and served by the incredible team from Food for Friends, who generously donated their time to make the event even more memorable. Fellowship Housing graduates came to serve the food as well.

So far in 2025, Fellowship Housing graduates on average have increased their credit score by 92 points, saved $16,600, paid off $18,000 and increased their salaries by $9,000.

Here’s what the moms had to say about their journey with Fellowship Housing:

“I came to Fellowship Housing at a time when I was overwhelmed and praying for a breakthrough. Since joining, I’ve made progress financially, emotionally, spiritually, and as a parent. I’ve learned to budget, deepened my relationship with God, and built a strong support system. I now have hope for the future—for myself and for my child—and I’m dreaming big: pursuing my master’s, starting my own practice, and walking boldly in purpose.”

“I was able to build my confidence, tackle my goals and believe in myself again. I also met my soulmate while I was working on myself. I feel that now I am more equipped with the knowledge and tools to stay financially independent, raise another child and be a supportive partner to my future husband. I am so blessed to have found Fellowship Housing and am thankful for the unconditional support I received. I hope anyone who is also on this journey will cherish the opportunity for it to change their lives too.”

“My children will forever remember that apartment. It became a safe haven for us—a place where we could rest, feel secure, and begin to heal.”

“When I first entered the program, I was escaping domestic violence—physical, emotional, and extreme financial abuse. Even though I was the only one working at home, I wasn’t the one making decisions. When I moved in, I had nothing—no shoes, no jacket in the middle of winter, just the clothes on our backs. But Fellowship Housing gave me something more important: hope, safety, and security. I knew that my children and I would have a roof over our heads, and that’s all I needed.”

These moms have overcome challenges, achieved financial independence, and created have built a better future for their families. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who played a role in their journey and look forward to continuing this work together.
